Liberty Hall Museum at Kean University is once again part of the annual CelebrateHAMILTON program, organized by the Alexander Hamilton Awareness Society to celebrate the life and legacy of the Founding Father and first U.S. Secretary of the Treasury. Liberty Hall Museum will be part of the Young Immigrant Hamilton Tour today, July 6 at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. The tour explores historic sites associated with Hamilton's time in the Elizabethtown, New Jersey area as a young preparatory school student.

Yale Drama Teacher Bill Connington Publishes New Book About the Alexander Technique


Newly appointed Yale School of Drama “Lecturer in Acting” Bill Connington publishes his new book today on applying the Alexander Technique to performance. The book is entitled “Physical Expression on Stage and Screen: Creating Unforgettable Performances with the Alexander Technique.” Published today in England, it will be published in the U.S. on August 14th. Brought out by famed theatrical publisher Methuen Drama, the book promises to be invaluable to the individual performer, and has been predicted to be the “go-to book” on the Alexander Technique for performers. It will also be used as a textbook by colleges and performing arts institutions nationwide. Connington is regarded as a world-expert on the Alexander Technique in general, and applying the method to performance specifically. In addition to his recent appointment to Yale, he has taught at Juilliard, NYU, and the Actors Studio MFA Program. Cornish Music Series to Present Bach-Gamel Show at PONCHO Concert Hall, 12/8


The similarities between music of the European Baroque and Javanese Gamelan are explored in this concert which features Seattle's renowned gamelan ensemble, Gamelan Pacifica, with vocalist Jessika Kenney and four of today's Baroque music specialists Linda Tsatsanis (voice), Nathan Whittaker (cello), Janet See (flute), and Byron Schenkman (harpsichord). ADAA's Art Show Raises More than $1 Million for Henry Street


The Art Show 2013, organized by the Art Dealers Association of America (ADAA) to benefit Henry Street Settlement, concluded with extraordinary sales and museum placements after a five-day run from March 6-10 at the historic Park Avenue Armory. The film, as described by Deadline, is about 'British warriors traveling through 15th Century China and happen upon the hurried construction of the massive wall.'
